Who do you think you are?

Just ask for an invitation, log-in from your computer or mobile phone and start finding friends, love and business opportunities in your area and all over the word. We were asked to design the logo, to personalize the graphic layout of the website and to create a family of icons to help users discover all the services the website offers.

The logo design is a “simple” transformation of a font into a “modern Sanskrit”, to underline the origins of this philosophy as well as the aim of the website to connect people. The symbol refers to relations between people, but is also a stylization of the common iconographic representation of Krishna’s feet. We started by thinking about the right colors: mainly blue (which means trust and peace: The Vaishnava Directory is something you can trust!!) and orange (which means social communication, action and optimism, OH YEAH!!) The icon design was kind of a hard job at first because of the different meanings symbols have in different cultures and we had to look for the right ones! We created a joyful and colorful set of icons starting with avatars (once you are logged on you can choose what you look like), continuing with all the useful icons for services (temple, business, farm…) and utilities (call, send an email, favorite…)
