A project for the Cantar Lontano Festival 2014 by Marco Mencoboni.
“We transformed the stairs into a concert hall and invited the audience to sit on the steps. To enhance the listening experience we chose to split the performance into different sections, for each of which the musician moved between the seven landings.”
Starting from this sentence by Marco Mencoboni I designed a logo and a graphic layout completely based on scales, attracted, geometrical, filled with strips and dots, colored in red, orange, cyan, purple…
While the logo represents a staircase itself, with letters “climbing” a geometrical shape (in the same way the musician moves from one landing to another during the concert), the promotional identity tries to represent the seven different staircases the concerts take place in.
Architectures are represented by a succession of geometric elements that, overlapping, create the illusion of three dimensions.
