Bologna City Branding, international competition for graphic designers focusing on a brand/logo and payoff to promote the city of Bologna.
The logo shape: an irregular octagon, which reminds to the shape of the city map.
The soft geometries of the logo represent the perspectives and the shadows of “portici”, the most known symbol of the City.
The two tips of the B make the symbol similar to a baloon (maybe two people chatting together?): Bologna is an open-minded and receiving city, lively and vital, where everyone can easily make new friends.
The payoff: B-BO Bologna come vuoi tu (Bologna up to you).
The individual is the center: art, history, culture, food, amusement… Does anyone need something more? A city that it has much to offer and that everyone can live as prefers, creating various and personal routes, discovering any hidden corner.
